Mesothelioma Victims Center Strongly Urges Diagnosed US Navy Veterans or Shipyard Workers to Call Them About How Vital …

WASHINGTON, March 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — This week the Mesothelioma Victims Center is urging diagnosed victims of mesothelioma who were exposed to asbestos while serving in the US Navy or while working at a shipyard to call 866-714-6466 or visit http://MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com to ensure they really are talking to one of the nations most skilled mesothelioma lawyers.

The Mesothelioma Victims Center says, “If a shipyard worker or a US Navy Veteran has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, we are urging them to call us at 866-714-6466 so we can carefully explain how incredibly vital it is to have a specialist mesothelioma compensation lawyer involved in advancing their financial claim that could easily exceed a million dollars.

“Our passion is to make certain all diagnosed victims of mesothelioma in the United States get the best compensation, and as we would like to explain there is a correlation between the nation’s best mesothelioma attorneys, and the best compensation settlements for diagnosed victims.

“The US Navy Veteran could have been exposed to asbestos while working in a ship’s engine room, ammunition storage area(s), or as a plumber, electrician, or member of a maintenance crew on a ship.

“The shipyard work was probably exposed to asbestos on a daily basis, because in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and a portion of the 1980s the rules protecting workers from asbestos exposure was minimal. This meant an uneducated workforce being subjected to toxic asbestos fibers on a daily basis and for years on end. We are providing a list of common shipyards used by the US Navy but also want possible workers or family members to understand that compensation is still possible, even if you no longer live in the state where asbestos exposure occurred.

“The shipyards could have been located in:
Norfolk, Virginia
Bremerton, Washington
Bangor, Maine
Groton, Connecticut
Hunters Point, California,
Treasure Island, California
Baltimore, Maryland
Honolulu, Hawaii
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

“We are also the nation’s only group offering free services that connect diagnosed victims and/or their family with one of the nation’s top mesothelioma attorneys. We constantly tell those we speak with to think outside of the box and go national when it comes to hiring a lawyer to advance a mesothelioma compensation claim. Get the best possible lawyer, and call us at 866-714-6466 so we can ensure that is exactly what happens.” http://MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com

The Mesothelioma Victims Center is urging diagnosed victims of mesothelioma to compare current OSHA guidelines for shipyards in the United States and asbestos exposure, as opposed to asbestos exposure guidelines for shipyard workers, or US Navy Veterans in the 1950s, 1960s, or 1970s. https://www.osha.gov/SLTC/asbestos/standards.html

Mesothelioma Victims Center Launches New Initiative to Provide Diagnosed Victims Exposed to Asbestos at Coal-Fired …

WASHINGTON, Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The Mesothelioma Victims Center is launching a new initiative focused on making certain all diagnosed victims of this rare form of cancer exposed to asbestos at a coal-fired power plant have instant access to the nation’s most skilled mesothelioma compensation lawyers. When it comes to power plants and exposure to asbestos, mesothelioma victims and/or their family members need to contact the specialists at 866-714-6466 or visit http://MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com if the family wants any hope of obtaining the very best compensation.

The center says, “Over the years we have been extremely honored that so many diagnosed victims of mesothelioma came to us for advice on what to do for a loved one exposed to asbestos while working in conditions that subjected them to daily exposure to the toxic fibers. Coal-fired power plants have recently come to our attention, so this week we have decided to begin a new initiative based entirely around helping individuals who may have questions about the compensation claim process.

“The common theme we see among power plant workers is exposure. What changes from person to person is the level of exposure and the amount of time spent in work environments where asbestos was used. Unfortunately for us, the battle to educate potential victims is forever uphill, as the signs of mesothelioma look similar to pneumonia. This often leads individuals to ignore their work history and settle with treating what they think is pneumonia. What we want to do is to spend the time with these individuals who suspect mesothelioma but are unsure of where to begin and go over how incredibly important it is that they have the nation’s top mesothelioma compensation lawyers working on their side. This is a service we offer on the spot with one call to 866-714-6466.

“These types of claims can produce some of the most significant compensation settlements we have seen. What we really want to stress to these individuals is simple—if you don’t seek help, compensation will not happen.”

For more information, a diagnosed victim of mesothelioma or their family members are urged to contact the Mesothelioma Victims Center anytime at 866-714-6466 or visit http://MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com.

Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center Now Urges Aircraft Manufacturing Workers With Mesothelioma Or Related Asbestos …

In more than half the cases it’s not the diagnosed victim of mesothelioma or lung cancer asbestos victims we talk with. Surprisingly, we have found that the adult son or daughter call on the behalf of the diagnosed victim because their parent is too sick

(PRWEB) October 21, 2013

The Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center says, “We know that when many people hear the words “mesothelioma” or “asbestos exposure” lung cancer, they think of US Navy Veterans, shipyard, construction, power plant, or oil refinery workers. In reality, commercial or military aircraft manufacturing workers and aerospace workers make up a significant number of the diagnosed victims talk with every month.

In more than half the cases it’s not the diagnosed victim of mesothelioma or lung cancer asbestos victims we talk with. Surprisingly, we have found that the adult son or daughter call on the behalf of the diagnosed victim because their parent is too sick. We encourage these types of calls to us at 866-714-6466, because it gives us the opportunity to instantly put the diagnosed victim, or their family members, in instant contact with the nation’s most skilled mesothelioma compensation attorneys and asbestos exposure law firms.” http://LungCancerAsbestosVictimsCenter.Com

Important note from the Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center: “Because the average age of the asbestos exposure related lung cancer we talk to is in their late 60’s, or early 70’s, we encourage the adult daughter or son to call us anytime at 866-714-6466.

US states with significant aerospace, or aircraft manufacturing facilities:

  • California
  • Washington
  • Florida
  • Colorado
  • Arizona
  • North Carolina
  • Ohio
  • Virginia
  • Kansas
  • Georgia
  • Missouri
  • Texas
  • Nevada

The Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center says, “Aside from aerospace and aircraft manufacturing facilities, other high-risk workplaces for asbestos exposure include: US Navy, shipyards, power plants, manufacturing factories, chemical plants, oil refineries, mines, smelters, demolition construction work sites, railroads, automotive manufacturing facilities, or auto brake shops.”

With mesothelioma or lung cancer directly caused by exposure to asbestos, symptoms may not show up until decades after the exposure. The Victims Center has found that many victims never smoked and also may not connect their mesothelioma, or lung cancer to asbestos exposure. As long as the victim, or their family members, can provide sufficient answers to our questions about exposure to asbestos, the Center will do everything possible to help them get what might be significant financial compensation.” For more information please call the Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center at 866-714-6466. http://LungCancerAsbestosVictimsCenter.Com

I am proud to be a member of a law firm that for many years has donated and continues to donate money towards mesothelioma research.

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 06, 2013

Today the Wall Street Journal published an article* discussing the topic of charitable donations by law firms representing victims of asbestos diseases to the medical community for research designed to advance the treatment and care of mesothelioma and to identify a cure for the fatal asbestos cancer. The article contains a quote from Jerome H. Block, a partner with the nationally-acclaimed asbestos law firm of Levy Phillips & Konigsberg LLP (“LPK”). The article also discusses LPK’s charitable contributions for mesothelioma research to world-renowned mesothelioma researcher Harvey I. Pass, M.D. Mr. Block, who devotes most of his law practice to representing asbestos victims, has achieved the highest ranking for legal skills and ethics, AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell**, and has also been selected on the exclusive list of Best Lawyers in America in U.S. News and World Report***, Super Lawyers****, and the National Trial Lawyers Association Top 100****.

Mr. Block issued the following statement about today’s Wall Street Journal article: “I am proud to be a member of a law firm that for many years has donated and continues to donate money towards mesothelioma research. My firm, Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, has seen too many of our clients and their families suffer from mesothelioma, a cancer caused only by asbestos exposure in the United States. We are also proud that our firm has provided significant recoveries to our clients who suffer with mesothelioma, who, in turn, are put in a position to also donate towards mesothelioma research. We would be very happy if the companies that caused this unfortunate legacy of disease in our workers and their families would donate to top mesothelioma researchers and non-profits so that we can find more effective treatments and a cure for this disease. But the companies are not donating these funds. So, if a law firm like LPK, who has witnessed the horrific suffering of our clients and their families for over twenty-five years, does not give money to mesothelioma research, then who will? There are many firms that advertise themselves as “mesothelioma law firms”, yet very few have given significant funds to find a cure for the disease. As the article discusses, our firm has donated money to New York University to help fund the ground-breaking mesothelioma research of Harvey I. Pass, MD. Last year, this research money contributed to a landmark study published in the New England Journal of Medicine***** that identified, for the first time, a marker in human blood that may be able to detect mesothelioma at an earlier stage when it might be more treatable. We were gratified to see our firm’s name acknowledged for our contribution in that important published article. We have also donated money to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF) for many years, because MARF is the only non-profit organization in the United States that turns its donations into research grants that are selected by an independent scientific advisory board. In sum, more money is needed for mesothelioma research, not less. Law firms should be encouraged to join our firm in donating money to mesothelioma research. We also invite companies who sold and profited from asbestos products to give money to help cure mesothelioma. It will take resources from all possible sources to ultimately find a cure for the approximately three thousand people that continue to be diagnosed with mesothelioma each year due to past exposures to asbestos products.”

Mr. Jerome H. Block, has concentrated his practice primarily on representing people with asbestos-related diseases, such as mesothelioma, since 2001. His firm, Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, has been representing asbestos victims for more than twenty-five years. The firm was recently named the 2013 Plaintiff’s Product Liability Law Firm of the Year by Best Lawyers and U.S. News and World Report******.

LPK has more than twenty highly experienced and skilled asbestos attorneys, who are licensed to practice law in various U.S. states, including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Texas, California, and Washington. With such resources and long-standing relationships throughout the country, the firm has a truly national reach and has been able to help hundreds of clients from all regions of the United States.

For more information, you may contact LPK’s national asbestos hotline at 1-800-637-6529 or visit http://www.lpklaw.com.
